GILLINGHAM manager Mark Stimson has been putting greater emphasis on the players' diets this week.

The Gills boss wants to see his players eating together on a daily basis after training in a bid to get them to bond.

Stimson said: "The food element is quite important in football and most players in this division are eating together after training and getting a bit of a bond.

"I know other teams are doing it and it's a massive part of the game.

"We've got a sticky problem where we don't eat at the training ground. The players are going to have to go back to the ground after training now and pay for their own food."

Stimson is keen for the Gills to rent a facility at the club's training ground for the players to use as a social room and for somewhere to eat but is still waiting for his wish to be granted.
