Gills boss wary of Bromley threat

Gillingham v Bromley

GILLINGHAM manager Ronnie Jepson says his players must show Bromley the same respect as any other team when the Kent clubs go head-to-head in the FA Cup first round on Saturday.

Former Crystal Palace chairman Mark Goldberg has guided Bromley to the top of the Ryman League Premier Division and the Lillywhites will be confident of causing an upset.

Jepson said: "Bromley are playing very well. We’ve seen them a couple of times and they’ve got good players.

"They have got good experience, pass the ball well and have got height and strength in their team. We’ll give them all the respect they deserve.

"It’s a local derby and that adds a bit of spice to it. All we could hope for was a home draw, which we’ve got, but Bromley will be no pushover."
