SEAN CLOHESSY has warned Gillingham to be on their guard against Brighton striker Bas Savage on Friday.
The Gills player is good friends with the Brighton striker, who made 15 appearances for Gillingham last season, and the right-back knows just what to expect.
Clohessy said: "He's a difficult player to mark. He's tall, deceptively quick and good with the ball at his feet. He's got everything in his armoury and he's one of their danger players.
"I play 5-a-side football with him in the summer to keep my fitness up and he's one of the best players there. Every game I've seen Brighton play or the reports I've read, he either scores or sets a goal up."
Clohessy was an unused substitute the last time the sides met and, despite starting the last six matches, he knows his place in the side is far from guaranteed.
"I might be on the bench this time as well," he said. "We haven't had good results in the last two games and the manager might change things around. Nobody's place is secure."
