Gillingham have made midfielder Charlie Lee and striker Adam Birchall available for transfer.

The pair were told of the decision by boss Martin Allen on Thursday.

Allen said: “Yesterday I spoke with Charlie Lee and Adam Birchall to let them know that they will be made available for transfer today.

“Both are good players, both have been good professionals, both players are really good people and this is a tough decision for me.”

The Gills have yet to confirm any new signings for the new season.
