GILLINGHAM are expected to field a youth team tonight as they travel to Welling for a pre-season friendly.

The Gills have yet to be beaten in the build-up to the season and will hope that the youngsters can keep up the impressive form.

Paul Parker’s Welling side have had a mixed pre-season, which included an 8-0 defeat to Charlton, while last Wednesday they beat Erith 4-1.

The game kicks-off at 7.45pm with the Conference South side looking to name a strong side against their Division One guests.
