Gillingham manager Mark Stimson is speaking to Kevin Maher today (Wednesday) but isn’t expecting a definitive answer about his plans for next season.
Stimson knows the 31-year-old midfielder will want to keep his options open and will have to wait for a decision.
“We’ll have to wait on Kevin Maher,” said Stimson. “Like all the players they get paid until the end of July so they will sit and say they have to look at everyone who is interested and take it from there.
“We may get a bit of feedback when I speak with him.”
