Gillingham are in line for a major cash windfall if they can overcome Stockport in their FA Cup Second Round replay.

Their potential Third Round tie at home to Aston Villa has been chosen as a live television game by ITV, guaranteeing the Gills a payout of £160,000 in broadcast fees.

It means, with gate revenues and commericial spin-offs, Gills are likely to bank more than £200,000 if they can get past Stockport in next Tuesday's replay.

The game will be played on Sunday, January 4 with a 1.30pm kick-off.
