Interim Gllingham manager Peter Taylor enters his third week at the helm on Monday and is still no clearer which way chairman Paul Scally will turn on the management front.
Taylor took over after Martin Allen was sacked earlier this month but he’s not concerned by the uncertainty.
“I am not going to push that,” he said. “I think that’s up to Paul to make that decision when he is ready and I am sure he has a few things to think about.
"I took it on this agreement and I will carry on. I will just get on with it and it is down to Paul to decide the timing of it.
“People think that I have agreed with Paul that it’s longer, or it’s a month, but that’s not true. I am looking after it interim and if Paul sees a CV that he likes then he could bring a manager in tomorrow. I have taken it on that way. I hope he doesn’t but there is no set time I have here.”
Taylor has been in charge of Gills for three matches, recording a win over Notts County and defeats against Port Vale last weekend, and play-off chasing Preston.
