Gillingham v Walsall

GILLINGHAM are aiming for a top 10 finish in League 1 and manager Ronnie Jepson wants them to finish their campaign at Priestfield with three points.

Jepson said: "We’re back where we were. The thing is we’re safe now. I’m still looking for a good performance on Saturday and the three points. It would be nice for the supporters to go away pleased."

Although Gillingham have already secured their position in League 1 for next season, Jepson believes there is still plenty to play for.

He said: "The players are pros and they want to feel good about themselves on a Saturday night. They want to finish on a high as well."

With several players out of contract in the summer, Jepson revealed that he’s held preliminary talks over the future of certain individuals but refused to be drawn on who he wants to keep at the club.

Jepson admitted that certain players might have aspirations to play elsewhere but said it was his job to convince them otherwise.
