Gillingham have completed the double loan signing of Ipswich midfielder Jaime Peters and Arsenal defender Rene Steer.
Peters, a Canadian international, is yet to make a first-team appearance so far this season for the Championship side but the Gills checked his form in a midweek reserve match against Northampton.
Peters has made more than 20 first-team starts for Ipswich but spent a large part of last season on loan at Yeovil.
Ipswich boss Jim Magilton said: "It's important that we get our young players out on loan and playing every week."
He joins the Gills on an initial one-month deal.
Gillingham manager Mark Stimson has also added Arsenal’s young left-back Rene Steer, who impressed in the reserves on Wednesday at Brighton, to his squad.
Steer will serve as back-up to ever-present left-back John Nutter who has been carrying a groin injury in recent weeks.
Both players go straight into the squad for the home clash against Exeter.
