CHAMPIONSHIP football is the aim for Gillingham this season and Mark Bentley is determined to see it happen.

The midfielder gave up the chance to play at that level when he joined the Gills from Southend a year ago, but he's confident the club can surprise a few people.

He said: "There's no reason why we can't challenge. The division's up for grabs. We're not intimidated by any side.

"The club wants to get back into the Championship and I'd love to go and play in it."
