GILLINGHAM manager Mark Stimson has had offers for three Stevenage Borough players turned down by his former club.

Stimson is hoping to bring Adam Miller, Stuart Lewis and John Nutter to the club but the offers have all been rejected today (Wednesday).

Gillingham chairman Paul Scally said: "Our offers were rejected this morning but we will be going back to find a way forward.

"We want to bring the three players here to Priestfield as we are confident that they will further enhance our squad."

Meanwhile, Grays Athletic manager Justin Edinburgh has admitted that he expects Stuart Thurgood to join Gillingham on loan with a view to a permanent move before the loan transfer deadline.

The 26-year-old is another target for former Grays boss Stimson, who recently signed striker Dennis Oli from the Blue Square Premier side.
