Gillingham are fast approaching the 3,000 mark for season ticket sales and are calling on fans to get theirs now.
The prices go up at the end of this month and the club are appealing for those who haven’t yet bought to act quick and make the most of the current discounted prices.
Chief executive Mark Jones has been impressed with the sales and is keen to reach last year’s 3,500 level.
“We’re well over the 2,500 mark and moving towards 3,000 now which is encouraging,” he said.
“We’ll have a lot of people here next year supporting the team and we’re delighted. We want to make sure that nobody misses the July deadline for discounted season tickets as the price becomes significantly more expensive in August.
Mr Jones is currently building a database of fans from around the county who would be interested in making use of a bus shuttle service, ferrying fans to and from games and he wants to hear from anyone interested in the scheme.
He added: “We’ve had a good response to the bus scheme, particularly from people in Ashford and Maidstone. We can’t run buses everywhere but lets see where we can run them from. If people are interested, then contact the club and tell us from which town you’re from.
“We need to have numbers of around 30 or 40 from a town and then we can put something together.”
