GILLINGHAM are booked for an early season reunion with former manager Tony Pulis in the second round of the Carling Cup.
Stoke, now managed by Pulis, won through to the second round last night thanks to a 2-1 home win over Division 3 Rochdale.
Stoke will be at home to Gillingham at the Britannia Stadium on Tuesday, September 23.
Meanwhile, Gillingham striker Marlon King starts his comeback from long-term injury today with a reserve team outing against Brentford at Priestfield.
King is expected to play for an hour in what will be his first match since January 11 when he damaged knee ligaments in a 1-1 draw at Derby.
Player-manager Andy Hessenthaler will decide afterwards whether to risk King at Bradford City on Saturday or wait until Monday's home game against Burnley.
