Gills have signed Charlton midfielder Danny Hollands on a three-month loan deal.
Gillingham boss Martin Allen said: "He has had a good career and I have tried to get him many times.
"He did very well previously at Cheltenham, Bournemouth and Swindon, at the end of last season, when they were top of the league.
"I’ve been working on this for a couple of weeks and it is pleasing for the club. He is a good player."
Hollands signed a three-year deal with Charlton in May 2011 but spent time on loan at League 1 Swindon last season after falling down the pecking order at The Valley.
Formerly with AFC Bournemouth, Hollands started his career at Chelsea but never made a first-team appearance for the West London outfit.
Hollands played in 46 games in 2011/12 as Charlton won the League 1 title while he featured 10 times for Swindon last season, scoring twice.
