GILLINGHAM'S Andrew Crofts was on the wrong end of a 4-0 thrashing on Tuesday night in his first game for Wales Under-21s.

The 20-year-old midfielder started the match against Germany at Wrexham's Racecourse Ground, but was substituted 15 minutes from the end when the score was 2-0.

The win puts Germany ahead of England at the top of Group Six on goal difference.
