Brighton v Gillingham

SIMON KING faces a race to be fit for Tuesday's trip to Brighton after being stretchered off on Saturday.

The Gills centre-back was clattered by Yeovil substitute Stephen Maher, earning the visiting player a straight red card.

King suffered a bruised ankle but Stimson is hopeful the defender will be back to face the Seagulls.

Stimson said: "He took a nasty whack. The physio said it was like a tennis ball. King wanted to carry on but we did the right thing and got him off straight away and got him into the ice bucket.

"We've got our fingers crossed. He"s a young lad with a fantastic desire to play the game.

"He makes tackles with his head and his foot every week and if anyone’s got a chance to play on Tuesday it will be him."
