GILLS have signed Port Vale midfielder Craig Rocastle on an initial month’s loan.
The 26-year-old is Stimson’s first signing of the January transfer window and he goes straight into the squad to face Huddersfield tomorrow (Saturday).
Rocastle said: "I’d like to add more goals to my game but generally I’m strong and I like to put my foot in.
"My football spoke for itself while I was up at Port Vale. For one reason or another, I took a back seat in December but this is a new challenge for me and it is something I’m looking forward to."
Stimson said: "It’s a loan deal to start with but hopefully if he comes up to the standard I expect then we’ll turn that into a permanent deal.
"Craig is a left-footed central midfield player so it might give us a bit of balance."
