GILLINGHAM captain Paul Smith, Rod Wallace and Kevin James all made their comebacks from long-term injuries for the reserves in Tuesday's 2-0 win away to Queens Park Rangers at Northwood.
Smith (knee) and Wallace (calf) played for 60 minutes while James (knee) completed the match.
Player-manager Andy Hessenthaler, who has been troubled by a calf injury, played for an hour and could return to the side for Saturday's derby at home to Millwall.
Gllingham included trialist goalkeeper Bertrand Bossu from Ryman League Hayes.
Both Gillingham goals came in the second half from Jones Awuah and Andrew Crofts.
