A GOLFER from Kent will tee off in the Ladies English Open at Chart Hills on Friday just a day after sitting her final Professional Golfers Association exams.

Rachel Adby, from Broadstairs, has been invited to compete in her first LET event by the tournament's main sponsors.

The 25-year-old member of North Foreland Golf Club said: "Hitting a few balls in the evening will probably help me relax for my exams.

"The more I think about the event, the more I’m looking forward to it. I don’t want to put added pressure on myself but if I play like I know I can I should do quite well."
