YOUNGSTER James Goodman achieved the highest accolade for any English cricketer last week – captaining his country to victory against Australia.
His record is played four, won four, against a touring Australian under-16 team, two in Twenty20 and two in 50-overs cricket.
The special week for James was crowned by winning the award as Kent Academy player of the year.
James, who has played his junior cricket at Bromley Common for five seasons, has represented England at under-19 and under-17 level against Pakistan this summer before receiving the captaincy for his own age group against Australia at Loughborough.
