RAMSGATE FC's utility player Will Graham is recovering after being knocked unconscious during Ramsgate’s 2-0 Ryman League Premier Division defeat at Heybridge Swifts on Saturday.
The incident, about 30 minutes into the game, caused a long delay, and the 21-year-old was out cold for fully five minutes, before coming round in the dressing room.
He was able to travel back to Kent on Saturday with the rest of the squad, after being passed fit by club physio Llewellyn Boucher and paramedics at the ground.
Back at work on Monday, the trainee area manager, who lives at Canterbury, said: "I tackled their player, got the ball, but in trying to jump over me, he landed on the side of my face.
"It was totally unintentionally, and apart from a few headaches I feel all right and hope to be passed fit to train this week, and want to play against Folkestone on Saturday."
Unlucky Graham was out for six weeks earlier in the season after breaking his ankle in training.
Meanwhile, Ramsgate's Kent derby at Tonbridge, abandoned after 68 minutes last month with Jim Ward's men 2-0 up, has been re-arranged for Tuesday February 6.
