DAVE GRAHAM has again turned down the chance of leaving Gillingham on loan.
Graham was approached by a League 2 side but the 29-year-old refused the offer after speaking to the club’s manager.
Gillingham boss Mark Stimson remained frustrated at the player’s decision not to take up the offer to gain valuable first team action and admitted Graham was unlikely to get that chance at Priestfield.
"We accepted but he didn’t so that was a bit frustrating," said Stimson. "He could have played 90 minutes for someone on Saturday but he didn’t and instead he just watched our game.
"But we can’t force players to go. I think he could go away and score goals because he’s got great ability and he needs to play regular football. At the minute we can’t give him that so the next best thing is to get it somewhere else.
"It was a decent club, in a nice part of the country, but another weekend’s gone by now and he hasn’t played. That must be frustrating for him but obviously not enough for him to say, ‘yes’.
"We had two conference sides enquire as well but he didn’t want to entertain that at all. He was willing to speak to the Division 2 manager but after speaking to him he refused it."
