Hayes Hurricanes captain Lydia Greenway is one of only eight women cricketers to have been awarded a contract by the ECB.

The 22-year-old who starred in the recent successful tour Down Under opted for a part-time contract which will allow her to play in Australia in the off-season.

The decision to award the contracts was keenly welcomed by former England captain Mike Gatting.
