SOUTH AFRICAN all-rounder Tyron Henderson has agreed a deal to keep him at Kent for the remainder of the summer.
The 31-year-old from Durban initially agreed a short-term contract for the duration of the Twenty20s but impressive performances to date have led to a longer-term contract.
He said: "I’m delighted, this was what I had hoped for all along.
"I’m pleased with how it’s gone so far and I’m really keen to push on from here and show the Kent members what I can do."
Henderson hopes to make his championship debut against Sussex at Hove on July 13 by which time Kent will have said farewell to Andrew Hall and welcomed his replacement, West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo.
