GILLINGHAM manager has revealed he is attempting to sign two players on loan in time to face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

Defence is the priority and though the Gills boss went out of his way to praise goalkeeper Bertrand Bossu, he is hoping to persuade Arsenal to loan Swedish goalkeeper Rami Shaaban.

He explained: “The problem is, we want to take him for the month and they want us to take him for the season.”
