Hess praises Ternent appointment

ANDY HESSENTHALER has given his successor Stan Ternent his full backing.

Ternent, the former Burnley manager, was unveiled at a press conference at the Priestfield on Tuesday morning

The former Gills boss, who stepped down on November 23, is a friend of Ternent and had a say in his appointment.

Hessenthaler’s future once the new manager took over has been the subject of speculation but Ternent confirmed the 39-year-old plays a major part in his plans for the club, both on and off the field.
