GILLINGHAM'S player-manager Andy Hessenthaler is out of Saturday's match at Preston after collecting an 11th caution of the season in Saturday's 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest.

The two-match suspension also keeps him out of next Tuesday's trip to leaders Norwich. Fellow midfielder and Saturday's match-winner Danny Spiller is also doubtful for the trip to Deepdale with a foot injury sustained at the weekend.

Hessenthaler could also be without utility player Kevin James with a groin strain. Should he miss the match it will bring the number of Gillingham absentees to 14.
