GILLINGHAM manager Andy Hessenthaler has acclaimed Rod Wallace's arrival at Priestfield as a "massive signing".
Speaking to the club's official website from Las Vegas where he is on holiday, he said: “He has played top-flight football and will bring a lot of experience to Priestfield. This is a massive signing for us."
Hessenthaler added: “I think his arrival will give everyone at the club a lift.”
Wallace, the former Southampton, Leeds, Glasgow Rangers and Bolton striker agreed a two-year deal on Sunday.
Gills chairman Paul Scally has decribed Wallace as “the biggest acquisition in the club's history".
