GILLINGHAM boss Andy Hessenthaler is confident his men can return from the long trip to the North East on Tuesday night with at least a point.
Hessetnthaler said: "People are writing us off against Sunderland on Tuesday but we're capable of going there and getting something.
"What we have to do is maintain the kind of performance we showed in the victory against Rotherham on Saturday. What's important is that we concentrate on what we're doing and not what others down there (in the relegation zone) are doing."
"We're off to Sunderland which is a new ground for just about everyone at the club. We are all looking forward to playing in the Stadium of Light but we want to come back from a long journey with something to show."
