GILLINGHAM boss Andy Hessenthaler believes a possible FA Cup, fifth round, trip to Liverpool could be the extra incentive his players need to beat Leeds in next week's fourth round replay at Elland Road.
Gillingham and Leeds were given the unlucky number 13 ball in the fifth round draw but while Terry Venables and Co cursed their lack of luck, Hessenthaler was beaming.
Providing Gillingham can overcome strife-torn Leeds and Liverpool see off Palace, the Priestfield club would be in line for a cash bonanza as the tie would attract a capacity 45,362 at Anfield.
"Obviously I'm very pleased with the draw, or possible draw," he said. "But first we've got a mountain to climb at Elland Road. "It's a really big draw for all four clubs to be honest. Palace, Leeds and Liverpool will be looking at it with the same interest as us."
Fifth round ties will be played on the weekend of February 15.
