Hill sweats on misconduct charge

GILLINGHAM'S assistant manager Richard Hill will have to sweat on a misconduct charge levelled against him. Hill will be brought before the FA, at a date yet to be set, after his reaction after Barry Ashby was sent off for what was perceived to be a professional foul on Wolves striker Nathan Blake by referee Peter Walton. A date for the hearing has yet to be fixed.

Hill was alleged to have acted in an aggressive manor towards the match official. He was due to have his case heard in Manchester at the same time as manager Andy Hessenthaler and Ashby who were punished for their protestations after Roland Edge was sent off in the game against West Brom on Bank Holiday Monday.

The pair were hit with £1,500 fines and Ashby has also been given a two-match ban.
