Bromley 8 Thurrock 1
DANNY Hockton netted a hat-trick as Bromley romped to their biggest win of the season with a Boxing Day thrashing of Thurrock.
Luke I’Anson gave the Lillywhites a perfect start when he received a square ball from Gareth Williams outside the penalty area and stroked into the bottom right hand corner.
Hockton doubled the lead on 19 minutes, charging towards the box after picking up the ball just beyond the half-way line and then smashing home.
Rickel White hit the bar and I’Anson missed an open goal before another deadly strike from the former Margate striker made it three on the stroke of half-time.
Hockton turned provider for Garath Williams to increase the lead to four on 48 minutes, and that soon became 6-0 thanks to strikes from White and Wayne Wilson, the latter from 35 yards.
Thurrock pulled one back with a Che Stadhart penalty, but a Hockton penalty on 72 minutes, after Williams had been fouled, and a Williams free kick with three minutes remaining completed the rout.
