BANNED Gillingham fan Alan Liptrott has been honoured by the National Federation of Football Supporters' Clubs with the presentation of its bronze medallion for his 36 years' service to Gills fans.

In addition to looking after the interests of supporters since 1966, including running social and travel facilities, Mr Liptrott has also forged links with Gills fans world-wide.

Mr Liptrott was banned by Gillingham chairman Paul Scally at the start of the season following a dispute over his website domain name.
