GILLINGHAM are looking for a new manager following the shock departure of Andy Hessenthaler on Tuesday.
Hessenthaler stepped down after four years in the job, but he will continue as a player and has been offered a place on the board by chairman Paul Scally.
Mr Scally has already spoken to three out-of-work managers and says he plans to talk to several other managers during the coming days.
He says he has not ruled out promoting the club's assistant manager John Gorman to the top post.
