TELFORD Wildfoxes will provide the opposition for the Gillingham-based Invicta Dynamos ice hockey team as the two teams face off twice in a double-header weekend.
On Saturday, the Mos make the trip to Shropshire, a rink where they won 6-4 in their last visit in November.
The following night the Wildfoxes will not be looking forward to a return trip to the Ice Bowl after being trounced 14-3 in their last visit in January.
Dynamos captain Phil Chard said: “Two wins are a must and I'll go out on a limb and say I can all but guarantee it because the whole team is fit and raring to go.”
Chard is also junior development director at the club and on Monday was at the monthly meeting with junior team managers.
He said: “The recent skills shown by the youngsters playing for the Dynamos shows what can be achieved by all sections of the club working together.
“The EIHA rule to restrict the number of imports a team can have is fair enough, but I believe they should have given clubs at least three years warning so effective junior programmes could be put in place.
“That's what we're doing now, getting everyone in the club talking and working out ways to get the juniors as much ice time as possible.”
Face-off against the Wildfoxes at the Gillingham Ice Bowl on Sunday is at 5.15pm.
