UNDER-FIRE Gillingham striker Tommy Johnson is out of Saturday's side at Burnley after hurting his back during the weekend 1-0 home defeat by Walsall.
Johnson, who was booed off by supporters after giving way to youngster Leon Johnson in the final minute, suffered a back spasm after attempting a shot on goal.
At first it was thought he had fractured his spine before an x-ray revealed nerve damage.
The injury is the latest setback in Johnson's injury-plagued stop-start season.
Better news for Gillingham fans is that player-manager Andy Hessenthaler, who has missed the last five matches with a hamstring strain, could be available on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Gillingham chairman Paul Scally is considering the idea of making unreserved seats available for season ticket holders next season in the Rainham End and other sections of the ground.
The idea is already operational at Millwall and Preston.
