Bournemouth 2 - 1 Gillingham

MANAGER Ronnie Jepson was left cursing individual errors as Gillingham's hopes of ending their away-day blues continued at Bournemouth.

His Gillingham side had dominated for almost an hour, only to concede two late goals which left them still searching for their first away win of the season.

He said: "We dominated and didn’t deserve to lose. It was a cruel blow at the end because we deserved a point.

"There was a mistake in our box from young Jon Wallis in clearing the ball rather than smashing it away. And then, when we were under the cosh, we had a chance to put the ball up the line.

"The ball was knocked across field instead, they came straight back at us and got the goal and I don’t think we deserved that.

"When you’re away from home it’s the time you get a bit nervous but the decision-making when you’re in those situations needs to be better from individuals."

But he insisted it was not all doom and gloom following the Gills' fifth straight league defeat on the road, although he did issue a warning to those players he feels are not fully committed to the cause.

"There were a lot of positives to take out of the match," he added. "The lads have shown a lot more conviction than of late. Up until they scored we had no problems.

"But if they’re not giving 110 per cent then they won’t be wearing the jersey. That’s what we want and we won’t accept anything else."
