Margate 2 Maidenhead United 0
MARGATE climbed one place in the Nationwide South table after beating Maidenhead United 2-0 at Homelands on Tuesday night.
It was Chris Kinnear's side's fourth win in five games.
However, the news that the club intend to be back playing football at Hartsdown Park next season, announced earlier in the day failed to swell the gate. Only 133 spectators watched the game, the club's lowest Nationwide South gate this season.
Top scorer Che Stadhart notched his 13th league goal of the season, while Rocky Baptiste added the second, both coming before half time to secure a win double over the men from Berkshire, which leaves them fourth from bottom in the table.
