Welling United v Grays Athletic

WELLING striker Danny Kedwell has vowed to knock the club that want to sign him out of the FA Trophy.

The Wings host Nationwide Conference Grays in the quarter-final on Sunday (1pm) and leading scorer Kedwell insisted that there is only one thing on his mind.

"I can’t wait for this tie," said Kedwell, who had a transfer request rejected last month.

"I know it’s Grays but I give 110 per cent in every game. Welling gave me the chance at this level and I owe them."

Grays are the only club to have made a firm offer for Kedwell but their £10,000 bid was laughed off by the Wings.

As for next season, Kedwell insisted that nothing has been decided. "It’s all talk at the moment, I’ll make a decision once I know what league Welling are in," he claimed.

"I’d love for us to go up and Welling could offer me something that I can’t turn down but I can assure everyone that my heart isn’t set on any club – my heart is with Welling for now."

Manager Adrian Pennock hopes to welcome back Ben Lewis but Steve Perkins (stomach) is a doubt for the Grays clash.
