Leading scorer Danny Kedwell is an injury doubt again ahead of Gillingham’s return to League 1 action.
Kedwell picked up a shin injury when he scored the opening goal against Sheffield United last week.
That kept the nine-goal top scorer out of Monday’s FA Cup defeat to Brackley Town and looks set to rule him out once more, as the Gills host Oldham Athletic on Saturday.
Gills boss Peter Taylor said: “He is struggling for Saturday, which is a bit of a blow but that’s how it goes and you just have to get on with it.”
Kedwell has scored in Gillingham’s last five league games and seven of his goals have come in his last nine appearances.
But Taylor said: “Monday night gave an opportunity for players to come in and show what they can do and they did some good things.”
Gillingham will also be without midfielder Steven Gregory, with what is described by Taylor as a “long-term” groin injury and Amine Linganzi (hamstring).
However, Michael Harriman is back from international duty with Republic of Ireland and will immediately be facing competition from Elliott Hewitt for the right-back slot.
Loan midfielder Danny Hollands is also available again, after Charlton denied him permission to play in the FA Cup, while Craig Fagan is up for selection, having been ineligible for Monday’s game.
