Danny Kedwell is expected to shake off a sickness bug to make the team this weekend.
Gillingham’s 10-goal leading scorer missed training at the start of the week through illness.
But Gills boss Peter Taylor is hopeful that the 30-year-old will be on the bus for Notts County this weekend.
“I am sure he will be OK, as long as he isn’t feeling too bad,” said Taylor.
“They say it could be food poisoning but something isn’t right. I hope it is food poisoning, in some ways, because as bad as you feel at the time, it goes away pretty quickly.”
One player who is getting close to a return is Frenchman Amine Linganzi.
But wide-man Craig Fagan has a “kicking-muscle” injury and is a doubt, having missed the trip to Rotherham last weekend.
“I don’t think he (Fagan) will make Notts County but hopefully he will have a chance for Peterborough,” said Taylor.
