Welling United 3 Dorchester 0
DANNY KEDWELL scored his first goals in more than a month as Welling eased past Dorchester in the FA Trophy third qualifying round at Park View Road on Saturday.
A dull first half was notable only for Kedwell's 25th-minute header which gave Welling the lead.
Jamie Day found Leon Solomon and his left-wing cross was diverted past keeper Richard Martin by the Wings' leading marksman.
welling improved after the break, boosted by a second goal on 47 minutes. Ben Lewis picked out Matt Bodkin and when his shot was half saved, Martin Carthy converted the rebound from close range.
Des Boateng saw his cross-shot come back off the crossbar and Kedwell was denied by another smart block from Martin.
But the game was finally made safe six minutes from time when Day was tripped in the area and Kedwell stepped up to convert the penalty.
