GOALKEEPER Simon Royce has expressed an interest in the returning to Gillingham, where he spent the last part of the season on loan.

Manager Ronnie Jepson will be targeting a stopper in the summer and may decide 35-year-old Royce fits the bill.

Royce said: "I'd drop a division to get regular first team football and it would be nice as it's only an hour down the road."

Tommy Black is another former Priestfield favourite fans would welcome back. He has been released by Crystal Palace and the winger is waiting to see what happens.

"I’m 27 and I’ve been sat on the bench the last two or three seasons and not been happy," he said.

Neither player has been contacted by Gillingham.
