Lancashire v Kent

Kent travel to the leafy south Liverpool out-ground of Aigburth today without batsman Neil Dexter following his decision to quit the club and move to Middlesex.

Dexter's decision, together with Kent's choice to release Matt Walker, leaves the club without batting cover for their two remaining championship games, including Wednesday's scheduled start against relegation threatened Lancashire.

It means Darren Stevens, who was set to miss the trip with persistent groin problems, will play together with fit again overseas players Yasir Arafat and Justin Kemp.

Kent last played at the Victorian ground on the banks of the Mersey in 2002 when hundreds from David Fulton and Andrew Symonds secured a comfortable six-wicket win.

Kent from: Key, Denly, van Jaarsveld, Stevens, Kemp, Jones, McLaren, Arafat, Tredwell, Khan, Joseph, Saggers, Cook.
