Kent get Arafat clearance

KENT have announced they have received approval for Yasir Arafat to be the club's overseas player for the coming season.

The club received the news from the Pakistan Cricket Board on Friday.

Arafat said: "It is great news. I really enjoyed my time at the club last year and am excited about our prospects for 2008."

Graham Ford, Kent's director of cricket, added: "We are delighted that Yasir is coming back.

"He made an immense contribution to the playing squad last year and I know he's keen to repeat his performance."
