Warwickshire v Kent
KENT return to the scene of their Twenty20 Cup triumph at Edgbaston on Tuesday looking for a vital LV Championship victory over Warwickshire.
Rob Key's side, who now occupy the second of the championship relegation slots after last week's four-wicket reverse to Surrey, are desperate to return to winning ways and in the process leapfrog the Brown Caps, who are in action at Chester-le-Street against Durham.
Key will want to see a much-improved return from his overseas professionals Yasir Arafat and Lasith Malinga, who both disappointed during Canterbury Cricket Week.
Sri Lankan paceman Malinga bowled only seven overs in the entire game claiming one for 40, while Pakistan all-rounder Yasir Arafat took one for 42 in his eight overs in the match.
Kent will take heart from their performance against Warwickshire in Canterbury earlier in the season when, having amassed 550, they were denied an emphatic win by rain that washed out the last two seassions of the game.
Kent will not be at full-strength, however, as both Darren Stevens and Simon Cook are unfit with groin and knee troubles respectively.
Neil Dexter and Martin Saggers are set to deputise.
Kent from: Key, Denly, van Jaarsveld, Walker, Jones, McLaren, Tredwell, Arafat, Malinga, Dexter, Saggers. 12th man: Northeast.
