KENT are set to reveal the identity of their new captain today.
David Fulton resigned the post at the end of last month and the club held a committee meeting last night where it is believed his successor was decided upon.
Chief executive Paul Millman had said that there was no rush to appoint the new man. He said: "We have until next spring if needs be to appoint a new captain and surely it's better to take time and get it right than feel pressurised into a hasoty choice."
But it seems the choice has now been made and it is likely to be someone already at the club.
Matthew Walker, who captained the one-day side last season, Robert Key and Martin van Jaarsveld are all in the frame.
