STELLING MINNIS-based Guy Williams will be in action at one of the world's most famous equestrian events, the 2007 Horse of the Year Show, which takes place at the NEC Birmingham.
The show features junior and senior national end-of-season show jumping championships, for which riders have been chasing places over the summer, as well as top flight international show jumping and showing championships.
The 36-year-old will be contesting the valuable international classes, which have attracted top names such as European bronze medallists Ellen Whitaker and David McPherson and former world champion Franke Sloothaak, from Germany.
Williams, presently just outside the top 10 in the British Show Jumpers rankings, comes into the show in great form following a Grand Prix win at the Scope Festival in Staffordshire on Skip Two Ramiro.
This year has been a mixed one for him, however, as was out of action in early summer with a broken shoulder, but he has also won the Area Trial at the Sussex Area Show on Merva Des Hayettes since his return to competition.
The show runs from Thursday, October4 to Sunday, October 7.
