THREE Kent players have been selected in a 44-strong England Elite Women's Squad for the 2007-8 season.

Saracens pair, centre Rachael Burford from Rochester and hooker Amy Garnett who lives at Littlebourne near Canterbury are joined by Worcester Number Eight Catherine Spencer from Folkestone.

England and England A both face games against the United States at London Irish in Sunbury in December, before they defend their RBS Six Nations title in February.

Head Coach Gary Street, in his first season in charge said: "This is a very exciting squad of players that I am relishing with them over the season.

"We have real potential, with one eye on the 2010 IRB Women's Rugby World Cup."
